I was told these were European Ravens, but I'm no expert. They were on top of Mt. Pilatus, south of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland

They are Alpine Choughs. But you are not completely wrong with ravens, they belong to the same ornithological family, the crows. See wikipedia for more infos! [link]
