Ruapehu is the tallest and one of the most active volcanoes in New Zealand. It has had several catastrophic eruptions this century, yet also has a ski area near the summit. My one and only chance to see the volcano was nearly spoiled by near continuous overcast, but the sun broke through and we got a marvelous view.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
